About the Plunge

Directions & Parking Information

Please note that Sandy Point State Park will open Saturday morning between 7:30 - 8 AM. There is NO overnight parking available at Sandy Point Friday evening – that includes anyone reserving a Bus Parking Spot.

Parking for the 13th Annual MSP Polar Bear Plunge will be available at the following locations:

Naval Academy Stadium – Annapolis, MD

Anne Arundel Community College – Annapolis, MD

Directions

Kent Island High School – Stevensville, MD

Important Information - If you plan to park at Kent Island High School, please take note of the following:
- Shuttle service will load and unload from the bus lane/traffic circle at the High School
- In order to arrive in time for the 1 pm or 3pm plunge please plan to load the bus no later than 1 hour before the plunge.
- Buses will run a loop from the school lot, so pick-ups will occur approximately every 30 minutes beginning at 7:30 am
- When departing, please be sure to look for a bus marked EASTERN SHORE – all other buses will travel West to the Naval Academy Stadium and Anne Arundel Community College.

Because we want to encourage mass carpooling, we are accepting reservations for bus parking ONLY. To reserve your bus space and request your pass, email us at plunge@somd.org or call 410-242-1515.
NOTE: Bus passes used by SUV’s, RV’s or anything smaller than a school bus or charter bus will not be honored on Plunge Day
