Featured Team - Kenwood High School - Polar Birds

Kenwood High School on the Baltimore City/Baltimore County line faces the same challenges that any other urban school faces. But what sets them apart is what they are doing to rise above them – and this year that includes participating as a group in the MSP Polar Bear Plunge. In its “rookie year” at the Plunge, this team has amassed an impressive group of 120 teachers, administrators and students to be “Polar Birds” and take the Plunge. Their goal is to raise $5,000 and win the “Cool School Challenge”. But even if they don’t win that, their participation in this event is a win-win, supporting one of the school’s virtues of unity, bringing students and teachers together in support of a cause bigger than themselves.
